Children's Toys for a Medieval Wedding
|
A renaissance wedding lends itself well to having your guests bring their children and it's nice to include something special for them. Toys can be expensive and I had a hard time trying to be economical and stick with the renaissance theme. Other than the bubbles and noisemakers which all our guests received, we included a Medieval Coloring Book and a rubberband powered airplane just for the kids.

Medieval Coloring Book. This was neat to put together. I wish I had a picture of the finished product, which I thought was impressive. I'll work on that. Here's our idea:
Print your coloring pages. We created a special front sheet in Adobe PageMaker with our names and wedding date on it. I added a clear plastic front cover and a plastic back to keep it sturdy. Punch through the entire stack on the left side with the 3 hole punch. Tie the book together by stringing ribbon through the holes you made. Take a few crayons and tie them into bundles to include with each book. Add a pencil for the puzzles. We combined both coloring and puzzle pages in one book.
You can personalize a lot of the pictures below with clipart, or if you're not good at that, use a gold or silver pen to write the names of the beloved couple and the wedding date. You can also add the child's name.
